Alcohol, food and beverages, firearms, sharp objects such as blades and scissors, flammable and explosive material
- Alcohol and Beverages:
- Most cruise lines don’t allow you to bring your own alcohol on board.
- Some may allow a little wine or champagne, but it will vary depend on cruise lines.
- Non-alcoholic drinks are often restricted too, especially in large quantities.
- Food:
- Homemade or pre-cooked food is not allowed (unless for babies).
- Packaged, non-perishable snacks are okay in small amounts.
- Special dietary items may be okay with approval.
- Firearms and Weapons:
- All firearms, including replicas and toys, are strictly prohibited.
- This includes ammunition, gun parts and gun powder.
- Other weapons like spear guns, stun guns and martial arts equipment are also banned.
- Sharp Objects:
- Large knives, including hunting and diving knives, are not allowed.
- Other sharp objects like box cutters, ice picks and razor blades are banned.
- Flammable and Explosive Materials:
- Fireworks, flares and other pyrotechnics are strictly forbidden.
- Lighter fluid, gasoline and other combustible liquids are not allowed.
- Compressed gas tanks (except for medical use) are prohibited. (Only with pre-approval)
- Items with Heating Elements or Open Flames:
- Clothing irons and steamers are not permitted in cabins.
- Electric kettles and coffee makers are usually prohibited.
- Candles, incense and any item with an open flame are not allowed.
- Most of the cruise line will allow hair straightener.
- Electronic Devices:
- Drones are not allowed on most cruise ships.
- Hoverboards and self-balancing scooters are typically banned due to fire risk.
- Sporting Equipment
- Surfboards, kayaks and other large sports equipment may not be allowed.
- Baseball bats, pool cues and hockey sticks may be restricted.
- Medical Equipment and Medications:
- While generally allowed, some medical devices may require approval.

- Miscellaneous Items:
