What is "Free at Sea"?

The Free at Sea promotion is available for all NCL cruises of three nights or more and includes free perks like: a drink package, free speciality dining, free Wifi minutes, and shore excursion credits.
(Some other NCL "free" promotions to look out for includes Free Kids, Free Airfare.)

Free Open Bar

Choose the Free at Sea perk and enjoy an Unlimited Open Bar — indulge in a wide selection of drinks, all included! Valued at $99 daily, this perk offers significant savings, especially for those who love multiple drinks a day.

Note: If one person in a cabin selects this offer, all cabin guests must participate — minors will be offered a soda package instead.

Free Speciality Dining

Norwegian's specialty restaurants are definitely something to get excited about! With a wide variety of cuisines to choose from, you're sure to find something to your taste.

And best of all, if you choose Free Specialty Dining from Free at Sea, you'll get two free dining packages!

Looking to add a little extra excitement to your cruise? Why not try dining in one of the ship's entertainment-based restaurants? For a small additional charge, you can upgrade your dining experience and enjoy a meal in a unique setting. So why not give it a try?

Free Wifi minutes

Norwegian Cruise Line's Free WiFi perk is great if you need to stay connected and it's completely free! But (you knew there'd be a but, right?) it's not unlimited.

The free WiFi package is limited to 100 minutes per stateroom for 3-6 day cruises and 250 minutes per stateroom for 7-11+ day cruises. That can go fast!

The package will be credited to the first passenger on the reservation, and they'll be able to make one login profile. You can share the login profile with your cruise companions, but it can only be used on one device at a time.

Free 3rd and 4th Guests

Looking to add more friends or family to your cabin? With this Free at Sea promo, your third and fourth guests can join you in the same cabin at no extra cost. The first two guests pay the standard fare, while additional guests may sail for free. Remember, these extra buddies will share your cabin and won't need a deposit, but they must pay their own taxes and port fees. Remember that this offer isn’t available on every cruise, especially during the high-demand periods like school holidays and summer.

Free Shore Excursion Credits

Norwegian's Free Shore Excursions option could be a great value for you, especially if you're excited to explore all the ports your cruise visits!

This perk will give you a $50 credit towards a Norwegian-sponsored shore excursion in each port. Note that the credit is per stateroom, not per passenger, so make sure to plan accordingly!

No, service charges are not included in your cruise fare. You can either prepay them or pay them onboard. If you prepay, you will avoid paying the service charge on your cruise bill.

We highly suggest that you pre-pay your service charge as it make your life onboard much smoother.

Norwegian Cruise Line offers their guests the Premium Beverage Package part of the Free at Sea promotion. This includes spirits, cocktails, wine by the glass, and bottled or draft beer up to (and including) $15. Guests can order any of these things at any bar, lounge, or restaurant and at Great Stirrup Cay. If their preferred drink is more than $15 it will be discounted $15 putting the balance on their account.
